Inside °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ—the new seminar series

Deuterium, tritium, superconducting magnets, plasma ... the realization of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ will involve incredibly complex technology and these terms are part of the daily experience for all employees here on site. Do you have questions about these subjects that you've never dared to ask?

The Communications Office has launched "Inside °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ," a series of internal seminars by and for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ employees. An °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ staff member is invited to give a 30-minute presentation about his or her area of expertise. This presentation is followed by another 30 minutes of question-and-answer time with the audience.

If you want to learn more about fusion, its history, the development of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ, or the science involved, do not miss "Inside °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ."

The first "Inside °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ" is called "The Basics of Fusion," and will be given by David Campbell, Assistant Deputy Director-General for Fusion Science & Technology (FST). It will take place on 12 March from 11.00 to 12.00 in the Salle René Gravier.

On 2 April from 14.00 to 15.00, "Inside °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ" will feature Gary Johnson, Deputy Director-General for the Tokamak Department, who will talk about the Tokamak and what its major scientific and technological challenges are.
