HOW TO APPLY

Click here to consult our current job offers. Job offers are published, on average, for 4 to 6 weeks. Upon applying to an offer for which you feel qualified, you will be asked to fill in your application file including your resume and cover letter in English.

Any false or misleading statement, or the withholding of relevant information, may stop any competition process and provide grounds for the withdrawal of any offer of appointment or the termination of employment at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Organization.

The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Organization regularly publishes new positions, so be sure to consult our website for updated job postings. You can also take advantage of the job alert function on our recruitment website.

Please also note that only job applications submitted directly through this website will be taken into consideration.

Applicants are required to have the level of education as stated in the job description. Applicants with a lower level of education than the required level could also be considered to have met the educational requirements by being in possession of additional professional certificates or qualifying professional experience.

Candidates who were not selected for a position but who demonstrated the relevant competencies may be added to a Reserve List to be considered for similar functions arising simultaneously or in the near future (at the same or a lower grade).

Candidates on the Reserve List, with reference to a previous application, may then be considered, contacted, and selected for another position.

CANDIDATE PRE-SELECTION OR "NOMINATION"

After applying for a position, your application will be processed by the relevant Domestic Agency. The Domestic Agency may choose to pre-select or "nominate" your application for the position. If your application is nominated, the Domestic Agency will inform you by email and then forward your application to the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Organization so that it may be considered for an interview.

The contact information for all °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Members (i.e., Domestic Agencies) can be found on this page to enable you to contact them at any time during the recruitment process.

YOUR INTERVIEW

Following nomination, an °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Selection Board will review your application and all other applications that were nominated by the Domestic Agencies for a specific position. You may be selected as a candidate to be interviewed for that position.

To ensure equal treatment for all candidates, interviews are carried out using remote connection technologies (i.e., Microsoft Teams).

Selection Boards comprise four or five members. Your interview with a Selection Board will last approximately 40/50 minutes. Preparation is key to a successful interview as you will be interviewed only ONCE for a given position. Your interview will begin with a brief introduction about your relevant professional experience. In addition, the Selection Board will be looking particularly at the candidate's ability to answer questions concisely and to present concrete examples of achievements. Be sure to read the job offer carefully to fully understand how you meet the position's requirements.

You may be invited for additional written tests and/or an additional follow-up interview.

This selection and interview phase takes place over a period of about two months.

HIRING

The final recruitment decision is made by the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Director-General. You will normally be informed of the decision up to six weeks after your interview and, on average, new employees begin working at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ two to three months later.

YOUR FIRST DAYS AT °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ

At °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ we believe that your first day of work is essential to your integration within the Organization. We therefore do our best to ensure that all administrative procedures are taken care of, that you meet key actors, and that you are properly welcomed by your direct supervisor and team members. Your manager and team members also explain to you in more detail what is expected of you, how the team works, and what basic knowledge is needed for your functional area, etc.

The appointment to a position may be made at a lower grade if the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant correspond to that grade; in this case, the duties and responsibilities assigned will be adjusted accordingly.

In the weeks following your arrival, you will have the opportunity to meet individually with the Director-General and also with your the head of your department. Within two to three months of your arrival, you will also follow a specialized induction training course to give you the basic organizational elements you will need to help ease your integration within the Organization.
