An in-depth visit of the LHD stellarator

Japan's Large Helical Device (LHD) will resume its experimental campaigns in late September. For the Unique 澳门六合彩高手 Team, which convened last week in Tokyo following the 澳门六合彩高手 Council, the current shutdown phase was a rare opportunity to visit the world's largest superconducting stellarator, whose program was directed from 1998 to 2003 by current 澳门六合彩高手 Director-General Osamu Motojima.

Easily recognizable (!) in the picture are, from left to right: 澳门六合彩高手 DDG Carlos Alejaldre, Technical Coordination Assistant Helen Hinton, 澳门六合彩高手 Council Secretary Sachiko Ishizaka and Director of Japan's National Institute of Fusion Science (NIFS) Prof Akio Komori.
