Happy Easter

The Holy Week, which commemorates Christ's Passion and Resurrection in the Christian tradition, more or less coincides with the Vernal Equinox, where in every culture festivals were held to rejoice in the coming of Spring.

Traces of this ancient, pagan tradition can be found today in every French bakery's storefront window: at Easter time, their shelves fill with chocolate eggs and rabbits.

Eggs hold the promise of life, and have always been potent symbols of fertility. And so have rabbits, which are exceptionally prolific ...

In some places, like in France, the two have become closely associated: it is the "Easter Rabbit" who hides the "Easter Eggs" and other candy for the children to collect on Easter morning.

But Easter Rabbits can also be found in more unexpected places—like on whiteboards. This collection was seen in an office in the CCS Department, Headquarters building, ground floor. What was going on? A drawing competition? A study of how Easter rabbits are portrayed in different cultures and traditions? Another mystery of Easter ... at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ.
