Superconductor modelling workshop held in Aix

An °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Nb3Sn Conductor Modelling Workshop, organized by the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ international team together with CEA, was held from 15-17 January 2007 at the Aquabella Hotel in Aix-en-Provence. The workshop drew 52 participants, both from the fusion field and from European and US universities, as well as representatives from all the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ Participant Teams.

The aim of this workshop was to review the status of the models for assessing the performance of Nb3Sn cable-in-conduit conductors. The modeling will accompany the upcoming qualification tests at the SULTAN facility at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, where °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¸ßÊÖ conductors from each Participant Team will be tested soon.
